Welcome to
Hadithi Consulting

With a PhD in postcolonial, cultural, and diaspora studies from the University of Leeds, I am Dr. Maya Parmar. I have dedicated my career to sharing and exchanging intensive research with public and non-specialist audiences in accessible, engaging formats.

Drawing on nearly twenty years of experience within the culture and heritage sectors at various universities, I bring deep expertise in postcolonial studies, diaspora research, and oral history interviewing to every project.

Through Hadithi Consulting, I specialise in helping researchers explore how a humanities-led approach to public engagement for impact can be intertwined into practice. I also provide my expertise to a diverse range of organisations including schools, corporates, and TV companies to help them bridge the gap between academic research and public understanding through authentic storytelling and cultural resonance.
